Our ingredients

We care deeply about food provenance and sustainability in the food chain. We work closely with local farmers and our menus evolve out of the best ingredients that are available. All our meat is sourced within 15 miles of the farm, and we are now working with Bucks Fish to source the most sustainable, British landed fish available. Our Guernsey milk is sourced from Laceys Family Farm, and we work with a number of local cheesemakers including Nettlebed Creamery, Marlow Cheese Company and Norton and Yarrow. Often our menus will include our homegrown harvest including summer fruits, rhubarb, pumpkins, apples and honey- with only a few ‘food metres’ in tow, we don’t think it gets much better than this. The Barn Kitchen is part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The project involved the adaption of an agricultural barn into a new café/restaurant, including kitchen and toilets. The new facility will significantly improve on the existing café, enabling it to operate all year round with a better customer experience and creating many new jobs for the local area.
