Do you need to book a table?
Yes it is definitely advisable to avoid disappointment, especially at weekends. Tables can be booked for up to 6 people through our online booking system here. We do have outdoor tables available for walk-ins, however we are not always able to offer our full menu for walk-in customers depending on how busy we are.
If you have not booked a table, do pop along on the day and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
We do not book tables for “tea and cake” after 2.30pm, unless you are wanting to book for our Full Afternoon Tea Menu. (see below).
Do you offer Afternoon Tea?
Yes we offer a seasonal afternoon tea menu for £30 per head, all cakes are handmade by us. See the menu here. Afternoon teas must be pre-booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance and this can be done through our online booking system. Sometimes weekend bookings will be blocked more than 24 hours in advance so prior booking is recommended.
Afternoon teas are available from 2.30pm Tuesday-Saturday and from 2pm on Sundays.
We can cater our afternoon teas for vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian diets.
Please note that due to the nature of our menu, all Afternoon Teas contain nuts and gluten.
Are you dog friendly?
Absolutely! We are situated on the edge of a bridleway in the Chilterns countryside and quite a few of our regular customers have four legs! Dogs are very welcome indoors and out (please do just keep them on a lead).
What times do you serve food?
We serve breakfast and brunch until 11.30am, and brunch and lunch from midday until 3pm. Afternoon teas are available from 2.30pm and we have our counter of homemade cakes available all day.
Do you cater for special diets?
Yes we have a plant-based brunch and lunch menu. We have gluten free options clearly marked on our menus. Our daily cake display always includes vegan and gluten free options. Please ask a team member if you require further allergen information and be sure to alert us to any allergies before you order.
Can we book for large groups?
If you require a table for more than 6 people, please email us firstname.lastname@example.org, stating your preferred date, time, group size and a contact telephone number. We will get in touch as soon as we can to arrange. Please note that groups of 8 or more will be required to place a pre-order from our group menu.
Do you offer private events?
Yes we do have several private hire options. The Barn Kitchen is available to hire exclusively on a selection of Saturday nights throughout the year. During the summer months we have our small yurt available as a private dining space during our opening hours (suitable for up to 20 people). Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes we sell gift cards in the Farm Shop which can be redeemed in the Barn Kitchen or Farm Shop. We do not currently sell these online.
